My Gal Pal of 13 years, Meredith, came down to Houston recently to visit and just hang out all weekend.  We had plans with mutual friends Friday and Sunday, so she and I cruised the town on Saturday looking for trouble.  Although we didn't find any on that particular night, we did manage to get a traffic stop (warning, but no ticket) and notifications to clear out of a closed area... now!  And we should have been arrested for bad taste humor! (see below)

We spent a good part of the day at the new Downtown Aquarium to check it out.  It has an OK aquatic exhibit (doesn't come close to Moody Garden's though), but a fantastic restaurant tank display, a decorative bar, and some carnival-like attractions.

Making the most of the evening, we also visited the military base, Kemah, and a few spots in between.

At any rate, we had an excellent time of it and finally came home at about 3am.

Yes, these are some over excessive pics of Mer, but only because she didn't take any of me :-(
But hey, she's prettier to look at anyway!

Actually, she did take one picture on me....

  Meredith Flys An F-16 !!!
Well sort of... Here we have this pilot want-to-be sitting in an F-16 combat jet simulator at Ellington Field.  After crash landing the darn thing 5 times, she takes a breather and poses for a couple of shots.  This is a fully functional high resolution simulator that faithfully replicates the feel and response of the actual jet.  It's easy to take off and fly, but a bear to land.

(OK, follow along with this... Picture, then caption... Picture, then caption)

The "I need a drink Now!" phase!

This is the after-effects of "I Need A Drink" phase.

Too much "More"?!?!

Well no one even drank on this outing.  However, on the way to Kemah, we passed a very famous Hotel...  This Hilton, on NASA Rd 1, is where the wifey dentist ran over her cheat'n husband dentist... 5 TIMES!!!
Meredith and I being our usual comedic selves, couldn't resist a little "re-enactment", with her being him.  At first we positioned the truck at the Hilton sign, but then Meredith insisted we find a Mercedes (just like the wife used).  So we cruised the parking lot until we found one.

Craig, Meredith, & Bret pose for a rare shot of the three together.
