The Sabol Family (plus Bret) in the Bozeman, MT Airport

It was the Sabol's annual trip for the CDPA convention which always holds its meetings in a different touristy location on the North American continent.  This year was scenic Big Sky, Montana and the adjoining Yellowstone national Park.

The Bears
Montana is known for its free roaming bears, although we never saw one in the wild, we went to a habitat.

Bret realizes he may have bear-o-phobia

Ride`em Cow Girl, err,. . . Bear Girl!

The Wilderness

Bret & Scott, getting ready for the banquet, have a fashion Faux Pas
You copied me?!?  No you copied me!       Wonder Twins Powers . . . ACTIVATE!   Bret & Scott laugh it off.

Not to feel left out, Rob went back and changed into a blue shirt too!

The Historic Sites
The family poses at the historic site where three rivers, the Gallatin River, Madison River, and Jefferson River all meet to form the start of the Missouri River.  Together with the Mississippi, this is the longest trip on a river you can make in the US.   This was also part of the route Lewis & Clark surveyed in their historic cross continent trip to find villain Lex Luthor.

The Excursions
Bret, Rob, Scott, & Rob take on a little golf on a very scenic course.

Terri, Liz, & Lucy take a trip up the mountain ski gondola to the top.

A Good-Ole Cowboy Hayride and Open Range Bar-b-Que

The event started off with a hayride to the top of a plateau where they had an authentic 1800's propane burning stove with electric starter cooking up brisket, pork, and ranch beans.  Of course, Terri's favorite part was the marshmallow/graham cracker  roast . . . in fact she ran them totally out.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK
Of course Bret's favorite part was Yellowstone National Park visit.  While Bob, Liz, Scott, & Lucy decided to head off to Glacier National Park, Terri, Rob, & Bret did Yellowstone for the first time.  It was definitely one of the most beautiful areas on Earth, and dangerous.  The steam vents were everywhere bubbling up scalding water, gorgeous waterfalls running through deep, deep canyons, free roaming deer, elk, bear, and buffalo .  Not to mention the 100 year old Old Faithful Inn (next to Old Faithful geyser) in which we were awestruck on its cavernous internal architecture.
Bret and Terri get steamy together

This Elk just got collared by the police

A beautiful view. . . and the nature behind her looks great too!
